🇷🇺🇹🇯 Joint drills involving armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan complete at the Kharb-Maidon training ground

The exercise took place on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan close to the border with Afghanistan from 3 to 7 April.

◽️ During the final stage, the troops of Russia and Tajikistan trained to conduct combat operations by joint forces to block and eliminate illegal armed groups as well as to conduct combat and special operations to restore the state border.

💥 BTR-80, BTR-82, BMP-2, T-72 tanks, Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, as well as BM-21 Grad MLRS were employed in tactical scenarios.

🚁 The combined group of troops was supported by Mi-8 transport and attack helicopters and Mi-24 attack helicopters.

🤝 The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Sergei Pimenkov of the Central Military District and Colonel General Sherali Mirzo of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Tajikistan who presented valuable gifts and medals For strengthening military cooperation to the most distinguished servicemen.
