Join in as Longbranch Community Church honors Good Friday with our 2023 Tenebrae Service.

“Tenebrae” is Latin for darkness – and this solemn service expounds on the seven last words of Christ immediately prior to his execution on the cross. Following each meditation, a candle is snuffed bringing us that much closer to total darkness – representing Christ’s death. The Tenebrae service is meant to emotionally set the stage for the joy of Easter Sunday’s Sunrise Service. Delivered by Pastors John Day and Sean Banks with Deacon Brian Knudsen; this service is thoughtful, emotional and extremely thought provoking.
