A new study cites the COVID-19 pandemic causing a significant drop in life expectancy for New Yorkers, with the worst decline in decades. The study also cited racial disparities, with the life expectancy of Black and Latino New Yorkers dropping by five and six years, respectively, compared to a three-year drop for white New Yorkers.
