BEFORE Ed Sheeran picked up a Grammy Nomination for Song Of The Year and Best New Artist.
BEFORE his girlfriend Ellie Goulding cheated on him with One Direction’s Niall Horan.
BEFORE Ed Sheeran sold millions of records and had a song appear in the second installment of The Hobbit trilogy.

Ed set out on his journey at the age of 14 from his small town to the big city of London England with nothing but a bag of clothes and his guitar. He first found work as a guitar tech and was soon touring with other artists as their opening act while releasing EP’s. In 2010 he bought a one way ticket to Los Angeles with no contacts in town where he played every music gig he could book. Jamie Foxx caught one of his shoes and offered Ed Sheeran not only a bed to sleep in but a recording studio to use.

Ed Sheeran was born on Feb 17, 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire England. He has an older broth Matthew who is a classical composer and a younger brother as well.

Their parents, John and Imogen, are London-born but of Irish lineage. John is an art curator and lecturer, and Imogen is a culture publicist-turned-jewellery designer. His parents ran Sheeran Lock, an independent art consultancy, from 1990 to 2010. Their work usually took them to London, and spent their weekends travelling with their children. These trips were regular and the Sheerans played music while travelling.

Sheeran's early childhood memories include listening to the records of ,Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Eric Clapton and Eminem when his parents weren’t looking. According to Sheeran, the album that first introduced him to music was Van Morrison's Irish Heartbeat.
