After the huge capsize of of the Ineos T6 boat where it completely turned turtle and all their systems were compromised the boat is out of the shed in Palma after mods and repairs and Team Captain, Sir Ben Ainslie has declared that they are ready again for more testing.

At around 9am UTC on 26th March Rosalin Kuiper suffered a head injury after she fell from her bunk when the boat turned and slammed unexpectedly in heavy sea conditions. Rosalin was off watch and sleeping when the boat wiped out due to a large wave off the South American coast near to Cape Horn. When this happened Rosalin was thrown from her bunk and hit her head just above her right eyebrow.

Blair Tuke, the Flight Controller par excellence and with vast experience across the foiling classes was pleased with how the second day of commissioning panned out saying: “Yeah good day I think we must have had a couple of hours on the water, got through a couple of different jibs and all in all, good day, big steps forward in just two days for us, so real good.”

In 40 knots and 10 meter waves Biotherm screamed down a wave and gybed and the traveller car exploded sending its bearings into the Southern Ocean. At the same time the top battern in their mainsail broke and this was noticed when they got back onto the original course and things settled down. Paul and Sam explain.

Sebastian Bohm and his Smuggler crew fired up on Day 1 of Act 1 in the 2023 Pallas Capital TP52 Gold Cup series, first, third and second places giving the local crew a narrow one point lead over reigning champion, Matador.
Hosted by the Crising Yacht Club of Australia, Day 1 consisted of three windward/leeward races, with David Doherty’s Matador claiming the opening race and the final race, a fifth in between blemishing their scorecard.
With the race wins accounted for under the predominant TPR scoring system, Craig Neil’s Quest is in third place following a pair of seconds and a fourth place. Quest is just two points off the lead.

Hannah Snellgrove is a multiple ILCA 6 National Champion and medalled at the Princess Sofia, 2022 edition. She is interviewed by Olympic Sailing Coach jon Emmett who himself is an Iluca Masters Champion.
