Being Morty Smith's dad, Jerry is often featured heavily in these episodes. While he started out as a pretty one-note character, Jerry has evolved into a fully-realized member of Rick and Morty's cast. Stories, arcs, and even Jerry fan theories all center around the character, but things could have been very different. While Cranston is now more well remembered for his dramatic role in Breaking Bad, he could have played a fantastic Jerry.
