BEFORE Skepta dropped his fourth highly anticipated studio album Konnichiwa.
BEFORE Skepta was getting shout outs from the likes of Kanye West and Drake.
BEFORE his rap crew ‘Better Know Boy’ took on ‘ASAP Mob’ in the Red Bull Culture Clash in 2014 and came out on top.
BEFORE him and his brother JME were two of the few men who single handedly started resurgence for Grime music throughout the UK.
BEFORE Skepta clashed with Devilman in what is considered to be the longest grime clashes of all time.
BEFORE he already had a Greatest Hit’s collection by the time he released his debut studio album back in 2007.

Although Skepta is rising to prominence in America just as of recent, the man has been a fixture on British radio for the past 10 years and pirate radio long before that. The eldest son to Nigerian immigrant parents growing up in Tottenham England, Skepta or Joseph felt like an outsider during his youth due to his foreign last name and heritage. A lot has changed with him being the front man of the uprising of Grime music in London. Some north American viewers may be unfamiliar with grime - the British hybrid of rap and dancehall and UK garage – they also like to ass in pounding car alarms, cause why not.
