BEFORE Capital Steez would team up alongside Joey Badass to film a video for Survival Tactics back in
BEFORE Capital Steez founded the rap collective Pro Era.
BEFORE Capital Steez took his own life at the age of 19 on Christmas Eve 2012 two days after Pro Era dropped their first album.
BEFORE Pro Era dropped tracks King Steelo & 47 Piiirates in the tribute to their friends passing.

When Pro Era first broke on the scene Joey BadA$$ was certainly the front man but next in line to blow up was his Capital Steez who was born Jamal Dewar. Pro Era was formed in the hallways of Edward R. Murrow High School growing from the initial four members to being 20 members deep. But young Jamal had actually formed his firat rap group way back in the fourth grade. When Pro Era would explode onto the national stage with him still in his teens it certainly caused the man much distress as he leapt from the roof of a Manhatten building after sending out a final tweet which read ‘The End’.
