BEFORE Peyton was drafted first overall in 1998 by the Indianapolis Colts.
BEFORE Peyton Manning was the number one recruited nationwide quarterback coming out of high school.

For Super Bowl 50 Peyton Manning was the oldest starting quarterback in super bowl history as well as the oldest player on the field. There was in fact a player on the other team – Devin Funchess who would of only been 4 years old when Peyton played his first NFL game. Peyton himself was throwing around a football as early as he could remember, the middle brother of three the boys took to perfecting their skills at the game day in and day out. Their father Archie, a former NFL quarterback also likely came in handy. Coming out of high school the football community nation wide had their eye on Peyton, he would go on to break records for the University of Tennessee where he also met his future wife and from there was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts. A team Peyton took from the bottom to the top of the league. He would also continue to smash record after record but there was also some scandal surrounding this American hero that was more often than not swept under the rug.
