First Reading Isaiah 66:10-24

See vv.10-14: CHRIST IS THE BRIDEGROOM- here it's describing the glorious union of Himself with His Bride, THE CHURCH- see v. 22, St. Ambrose, says, "The Holy Spirit is the river"
vv.15-16: the Scriptures give us a glimpse of His Second Coming and The Last Judgement is very well depicted here. See vv. 17, 18, 24: ALL EVIL IS DESTROYED TOGETHER and those who fail to repent will see the truth in the light of God's glory. These are the dead bodies who will never escape the fire of God's chastisement. See v. 19: the sign is the sign of the cross, the sign of salvation the apostles shall declare... among the Gentiles (see also Matthew 8:19). See vv. 20-21: Worship, sacrifices with PSALMS, will be open to both GENTILES AND JEWS, and CHRIST will choose priests to serve His Church from the Gentile believers.

I read Matthew 25:1-13- this parable is an illustration for all to have the need to spiritually prepared WHILE THE BRIDEGROOM - CHRIST is delayed in His return. The Kingdom of God is often portrayed as a Marraige (Matthew 22:1-14- Who enters into the Kingdom). Other sources John 2:1-11- "The first sign at Cana the wedding and how Jesus begin Hid ministry at a wedding. Other sources John 4:1-42- "The Samaritan woman and the harvest is ready.

Second Reading Genesis 49:33-50:26

See v. 21 in Genesis 50: Joseph spoke to the heart of his brothers, for the spiritual eyes to see the things of God - see Ephesians 1:18.
Ephesians 1:18:
18 the eyes of your [a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Here in Ephesians 1:18: UNDERSTANDING should be translated "HEART." The prayers of the Orthodox Christians pray before the reading of the Gosepl begins, "Illumine our hearts, O Master who love mankind, with the pure light of Your divine knowledge."

Third Reading Proverbs 31:8-31
"A Mothers Wisdom" and a "Virtuous Wife"
vv.10-30 in my Orthodox study Bible talking about a COURAGEOUS WIFE is one who knows Wisdom- Christ and His virtues. Her value is priceless to her husband. She is an icon of the Church, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST. For she is to her husband what the Church is to Christ.

"Husbands respect and love your wives, and protect them like Christ protects His Church. For our wives are to us what the Church is to Christ." JPCE SPIRITUAL TALK
