Night of A Thousand Tears Explained-The Events that Led to Mandalore’s Demise! In Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, as well as Chapter 8 of The Mandalorian, Star Wars fans have gotten to learn about the Night of A Thousand Tears. But what exactly happened during this devastating event, and what were some of the events that led to such a significant moment in Galactic history? The Night of a Thousand Tears was the night in which the Galactic Empire massacred Mandalorians during what was called the Great Purge of Mandalore. During this massacre, a large contingent of TIE bombers destroyed cities on Mandalore, and gunships were used to slaughter Mandalorian recruits on fields. Since the recruits were overwhelmed by the ships' E-web heavy repeating blasters in the night, the engagement was remembered in songs as a night of tears. Essentially, the Empire brought a devastating amount of its military might and power to Mandalore, with the intent of reducing the planet to ash. Although we don't know the exact date that the Great Purge happened, it most likely would've happened at some point between 1 BBY to 5 ABY. Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett sees the return of our favorite Mandalorian, Din Djarin. In Mando's appearance in Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, Din reunites with The Armorer and Paz Vizsla, the only two surviving members of the Navarro covert of the Children of the Watch that saved Din Djarin in season 1 of The Mandalorian. At one point, Mando and The Armorer discussed Din's new weapon, the Darksaber. Additionally, when speaking with Din, The Armorer explained that Beskar should not be forged into weapons, referring to the Beskar spear that Ahsoka Tano gave Din Djarin in season 2 of The Mandalorian, as it could be used to pierce Beskar armor. Because of this, The Armorer began to melt down Din’s Beskar spear and asked him what to make with it, so Din tasked her with creating something for our favorite Foundling, Grogu. During their conversation, The Armorer gave Din Djarin an explanation as to what transpired during The Night of a Thousand Tears. The Book of Boba Fett has finally arrived! Season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett has premiered, and what an episode it was. The brand new Disney+ series-which was originally teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian-The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. I'm super excited to see what the rest of season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett has in store for Star Wars fans, and I can't wait to see what the season has in store of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. Additionally, I'm curious if we'll see Boba Fett cross paths with some other notorious bounty hunters, or possibly characters such as Din Djarin. Whatever The Book of Boba Fett has in store of Boba Fett, I can't wait! Aside from Din reuniting with the Children of the Watch covert, before subsequently being tossed out for having removed his Mandalorian helmet, Din made his way to Tatooine to pick up his new ship from Peli Motto. Once on Tatooine, Fennec Shand met with Mando and informed him that Boba Fett was in need of muscle, and, as such, needed Din Djarin's help. Din agreed to help Boba Fett in his fight against the Pyke Syndicate.
