Taipei 101 - Taiwan

Taipei 101 is a skyscraper located in the Xinyi District of Taipei, Taiwan. It was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010 and is currently the 10th tallest building in the world, with a height of 509.2 meters (1,671 feet).

The building was designed by the Taiwanese architect C.Y. Lee and Partners and was completed in 2004. It has 101 floors above ground and 5 floors below ground. The building is known for its unique design, which incorporates traditional Chinese architecture and modern technology.

Taipei 101 is home to offices, restaurants, and observation decks. The indoor observatory is located on the 89th floor and offers panoramic views of Taipei City and the surrounding mountains. There is also an outdoor observatory on the 91st floor, which is accessible by a high-speed elevator that travels at a speed of 60.6 km/h (37.7 mph).

The building also features a tuned mass damper, which is the largest in the world. The damper helps to stabilize the building during earthquakes and strong winds.

Taipei 101 is an important landmark of Taipei and has become a popular tourist attraction. Its New Year's Eve fireworks display is one of the largest in the world, attracting thousands of visitors every year.
