Musings #164 Alway Being Reactive

It is an unfortunate trait of human nature to be reactive. History is full of situations in which things have gone to far and then there is a harsh reaction causing the pendulum to swing all the way in the opposite direction, only to swing back forth again. This is because we act on emotions rather logic and principles. There is no magic bullet, no perfect, perpetual system, rather it's about constant effort.
