BEFORE Nirvana would take home a Grammy and seven MTV Video Music Awards, many of the videos which were stylized out of Kurt Cobain’s imagination.
BEFORE Kurt Cobain would fall in love with fellow rock star Courtney Love, together the two would welcome a daughter.
BEFORE the Nirvana album Nevermind was released in 1991 which would rise to the top of the charts and spearhead a musical revolution welcoming the arrival of grunge.
BEFORE Kurt developed a full blown addiction to heroin as a remedy to medicate his chronic stomach pain.
BEFORE Kurt Cobain decided to end his own life by putting a pistol in his mouth at his Seattle on April 5th 1994, home at the age of 27.

Growing up Kurt Cobain showcased a talent for music and art at an extremely young age. He was diagnosed with HDHD during his youth and Bi-Polar as an adult. When he was nine his parents divorced and overnight a the cheerful and excited young boy became withdrawn and introverted. He scribbled on his wall “I hate Mom, I hate Dad, Dad hates Mom, Mom hates Dad, it simply makes you want to be sad”

Both parents would find new partners and his father started a new family, attempts were made to get young Kurt into organized sports like wrestling and softball but he wasn’t interested. He began smoking weed at the age of 13 and would pass his time experimenting with drugs, alcohol and would have run ins with the law. The only positive experience from his later youth seems to be the beat up guitar gifted to him by his uncle and his hang out time with local rock band The Melvins. He auditioned for the band and was turned down – that’s when he decided to form his own.
