At least three police officers in Kansas City, Kansas, sustained injuries following a shooting that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened in the vicinity of North 18th Street and Wood Avenue, just north of State Avenue, where there was a significant police presence.

The Kansas City Police Department in Missouri is spearheading the investigation. KCPD added that the officers’ injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
