Sergei Shoigu inspects fulfilment of the state defence order at the Arzamas Machine-Building Plant in Nizhny Novgorod region

◽️ The head of the Russian military department inspected the company's production facilities, assembly lines, and workshops where armoured personnel carriers of various modifications and Tigr armoured vehicles are manufactured.

◽️ Sergei Shoigu was also briefed on current projects aimed at upgrading military hardware and armaments in service with the Russian Armed Forces.

◽️ The most recent advancements in armoured vehicles, which offer more security for the crew and personnel, were presented to the Minister of Defence.

◽️ Sergei Shoigu instructed to study the production of special armoured vehicles in various designs to accommodate medical, liaison, and utility modules.

◽️ Additionally, company leadership representatives briefed the Minister of Defence on the enhancements made to the armour's protective qualities while taking into account the protection needs currently in place and the preferences of the service members who perform missions within the special military operation.

◽️ The head of the Arzamas Machine-Building Plant noted that the new double armour of promising vehicles can withstand a two-kilogram TNT detonation, a hit by armour-piercing incendiary ammunition, protect the radiator, bonnet, and wheel chassis, and also protect personnel from various weapons, including small-arms fire, shell splinters, and mortar shells.

◽️ Sergei Shoigu also noted the ergonomics of the interior of armoured vehicles, which ensures the crew and personnel are comfortable to operate armoured vehicles and use weapons in combat.

◽️ At the end of the visit, Sergei Shoigu commended the plant's employees for increasing production rates and instructed them to work on issues related to signing long-term contracts that would enable them to build a programme of further development of production of the manufactured products.
