Star Control Origins is probably Stardock's finest achievement as a game in terms of completion. The human race faces annihilation at the hands of an evil galactic empire called the Scryve and their allies. Origins works hard to create an amusing and interesting game, which I've now played through for some time.

Along the way you'll make some friends, and many enemies.
The Tywom are the first aliens you will encounter, and you will learn first hand the sheer terror of obsessive, clingy relationships at their clammy hands. Always excited to see you, it's clear they need friends...

The Mukay are an aquatic race of egotistical and cowardly squid like beings, trying to forge a secret alliance, they show just how hypocritical a species can be - but the question remains, do they really want to be friends, or are they just after the fish in our oceans?

The Menkmack are a bunch of friendly, trustworthy guys, who you can rely on for anything. They would never do anything wrong. Trust me, I wrote this and was not bribed at all by them.

The Trandalls bring a new friend into the universe in the form of overmind, Overmind possesses the Trandalls and wants to make more overmind. Some Trandalls have escaped but they will be overmind once more.

The Pinthi are a sapient bioweapon and probably one of the only intelligent species in the game. They have a good attitude to life.

The Mowlings die a lot. But they breed a lot. They are discount Shofixti - but rather fun. Also they've played Star Sonata, so they worship Jeff.

The Scryve are the boring baddies of the game. They are scary and mean. Blow them up. The Drenkend are their most loyal pets and the Measured, (my favourite race) keep their records.

The Phamysht will eat you, but at least they'll be nice to you cupcake.
I hope you enjoy watching this let's play as much as I enjoyed making it!
