April’s full pink moon will rise this week

Although it is called the “pink moon,” the full moon in April will not actually appear pink tonight. Nevertheless, it will still be a beautiful sight as the bright golden orb rises in the sky.

Those interested in observing the full moon can start looking Wednesday night, with the peak occurring at 12:34 a.m. ET early Thursday morning, CNN reported.

According to EarthSky, full moons are visible to both Northern and Southern hemisphere viewers up to 12 hours before and after their peak phase. As a result, the fullness of the moon will not look very different to the human eye the day before or after the peak.
