Rubio Introduces Legislation Curbing Sexual Assaults On Campuses (English & Español)

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), announces a new piece of bipartisan legislation that intends to lower the rate of sexual assault on university campuses. The legislation includes provisions which would require the Department of Education to publish the names of schools with pending Title IX-related investigations, require schools to provide training programs for on-campus personnel to better understand the effect of sexual assault crimes on survivors, and require schools to designate"confidential advisors" to act as a resource for victims of assault and coordinate support services for victims.
