Strike the Shepherd and Scatter the Sheep

Zechariah predicted the suffering of Jesus when He would come "in that day" (the gospel age). He would be captured and slain, and His disciples would forsake Him. They would be purified by suffering. Conflict between God and the forces of evil would result in a way of escape or deliverance for the remnant of God's people.
