To remove dirt/dust use a boar bristle brush. Use a saddle soap of your choice with an old brush. Lather a section, don’t saturate with water, wipe dry with a cloth in sections to lower drying time. Try to remove all soap residue, reinstall shoe trees and let it air dry. This is a good time to clean up any loose or fraying threads, lightly heat and press flat. For oiled leather, use an oil conditioner of your choice. Apply in circular motions and let it soak for 15-40 minutes. Buff off with a cloth and/or a horse hair brush. Lightly apply a sealer/wax of your choice. Don’t over do the wax layer other wise you’ll get crusting and a haze. Let the wax sit for 5-15 minutes. Buff off with horse hair brush.
