I explain how I spend the income using different categories of expenditure and I also share what percentage spend is recommended and compared it to how much money I spent. The categories include: The amount I spent in taxes from a salary perspective as well as the amount I spent in taxes from a business perspective. I also shear the percentage of my income and salary that I invested and or safety and how I treated my savings as a bill. I invested in stocks, bonds, index funds, mutual funds, business, real estate, angel investment etc. The next book it was for housing expenses which included my rent and or mortgage property taxes, all maintenance and security, home insurance and household help. Transportation was another pocket and this included the loan payment for our vehicles, patrol and maintenance cost for the vehicles as well as insurance. Food and utilities were other categories considered and this included expenses like groceries, dining out, cooking gas, electricity, water, Internet cable phone and other related costs. Medical and healthcare expenses is another bucket and this includes health insurance, life insurance, critical illness insurance. Personal expenses to include Subscription, clothing and accessories, entertainment and hobbies were also considered. Charity which covered my scholarship funds and giving back in general as well as the cost to care for my extended family was also considered.
