Nicola Sturgeon's husband has been arrested by Police Scotland in an investigation into the Scottish National party's fundraising and finances. Police said a 58-year-old man had been 'arrested as a suspect' and officers were carrying out searches at addresses linked to the investigation. Scotland's first minister and SNP leader, Humza Yousaf, said the news was 'challenging and difficult' but declined to comment on the live police investigation. He said he did not believe the investigation contributed to Sturgeon's decision to quit in February after eight years as SNP leader
