ASAP Ferg born Darold Ferguson Jr may have grown up in a rough part of Harlem but that didn’t stop him from following his passion in visual arts. His father, a successful graphic designer, had him in his print shop screening shirts for the likes of P Diddy as a kid. In high school people gave him a lot of shit for dressing differently than the rest of them and focusing on his paintings. But he found one of his classmates also had an appreciation for the arts and didn’t mind being different, a kid by the name of Rakim Mayers aka ASAP Rocky.

My name’s Michael McCrudden documenting the life of ASAP Ferg, prior to fame here on Before they were famous. I’ve also done his high school buddy ASAP Rocky which probably needs an UPDATE, in the meantime I've done a ton of other rappers, be sure to let me know who you’d like to hear about next in the comments below.
