Shante ‘Spitta’ Franklin grew up in New Orleans with his parents and older brother, rapper Mr.Marcelo. He rapped along with him in his teens but never took music to be his career, as he actually planned on becoming a school teacher. Then in college he hooked up with a regular pothead who insisted he try some with her, and from there well the man fell in love... not with the girl but with weed. Everything he has today, he says he owes to Mary Jane.
