Before he would go on to reach 9 Million Subscribers on his Channel The Syndicate Project.
Before he would have the most popular channel on Twitch.
Before he started a multi-channel Network called JetPak.

Tom Cassell was born on June 23, 1993 in Manchester UK. He spent his early childhood like most kids in his hometown. He attended school and played videogames. As a teenager he worked at McDonalds and earned some spare pocket money. After watching his friend create a call of duty sniping montage, Tom was inspired to give YouTube a try. Fast forward 6 years later, he is nearing 10 million subscribers on his channel, is the most subscribed streamer on twitch, and is ready to launch his very own MCN called JetPak. From Flipping Burgers to flying around the world playing videogames and sharing life, Tom has become a syndicated youtube phenomenon.

Hey Everyone, I'm Azzy and welcome to Before they were famous, documenting the life of Tom Syndicate Cassell before his fame.

Not much is documented for Syndicate’s early life until one day he saw his friend create and upload a sniping montage video for Call of Duty. He thought it was the coolest thing in the world and he wanted to give it a shot. He opened his channel, The Syndicate Project, on September 3, 2010. His initial set up was nothing glamorous. He stacked a bunch of books and games on a chair and placed his camera on top of it and pointed it at the television.

HIs dad didn’t see the value in what he was doing at the time and told him to focus on his studies. However, Tom had other plans in mind. He used his pay from his job at McDonald’s to buy more of the necessary equipment for his channel and continued pushing forward.

Shortly after creating videos for a few months, he got an email from Machnima. He stated that this was the point in his life where he began to see YouTube as a possible career path. He played Modern Warfare 2 and uploaded videos frequently. Some of which were featured on Machnima’s page. Thanks to the boost his channel grew to 1,000 subscribers very quickly. By the end of 2010 that number had reached 10,000.

It was around this time that Black Ops was released. Black Ops became a major driving force in his channel and he started releasing tutorial videos for Zombie Mode. Back then it was uncommon for someone to reach round 20 on solo. Syndicate released video after video detailing his strategies and tricks. He said that his main motivation was to help the people at the bottom of the scoreboard get better.
