WEAR News 3: Rubio, Nelson Want Federal Red Snapper Season Extension

Watch WEAR News 3's coverage of a letter Senators Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson wrote to the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration asking the Obama administration to review its decision not to open up the South Atlantic to red snapper fishing.

“Although last year’s season only consisted of three weekends, it afforded an opportunity for those coastal communities to capture valuable tourist dollars,” the senators wrote. “As such, we strongly encourage your agency to use all available data to reconsider the closure.”
