In this clip from The Bald Brad Show, a recent interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw addressed the difficulty in predicting school shootings due to their often random and unexpected nature. The tragic shooting at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, which left six people dead, marks the 19th shooting at an American school or university in 2023 where at least one person was wounded. Crenshaw believes that school shootings are the result of a "social contagion" that began with the Columbine High School shooting in 1999. He calls for a conversation about what is happening and proposes a minimum of two armed guards at every school in America. Watch the video to learn more about this issue and Crenshaw's proposed solution.
