When is something true? Excuses for Mortgage application drop? Listing photos?
Good Evening! Had a great if not brief show tonight. Here are some of the topics we covered.
When do you know if something you read or see is true? It would seem that there should be some weight given to defining what words are intended. What I mean by this is that people are taking what used to be common words and changing the definition without telling people. Many examples exist, but I used “affordable housing” as my example. One thinks affordable housing means houses available that are affordable. But it’s not. It’s a grift for certain groups, both government sponsored and private institutions. A favored developer for example.
We looked at an article that talked about what we might see in photos of listings in 2023. I didn’t agree for the most part.
Housing affordability is an issue. This definition (mine) would be houses that are affordable.
Finally, we see an article with an observation that maybe the main reason mortgage applications are down are not because of home buyer rate watchers, but that there simply just isn’t enough inventory to spur more buying to justify more buyers entering the marketplace.
