Before DJ Akademiks became the go-to guy for giving hilarious commentary on the latest hip hop news, with his videos getting over 190 million views

DJ Akademiks was a young kid going to high school in new york fresh from Jamaica. The culture shock through him for a loop, but he found refuge in hip hop music. Through college the young man indulged his obsession, trying his hand at music production and radio, until he realized the internet was a much more powerful tool.
