In this sobering interview, pun intended, we talk with Rafi, a friend who has gone through the wild experience of being in a car accident and becoming #addicted to pain medication. Rafi shares his journey of how he went from being an accident victim in need of pain management to becoming dependent on the medication and ultimately struggling with #addiction.

Rafi describes how the medical system was more than willing to #overprescribe these powerful #narcotics to manage his #pain and as a result, he soon found himself unable to function without the medication. This led him to question the #healthcare system and the role that #pharmaceutical companies play in promoting these medications.

Despite the challenges he faced, Rafi was fortunate enough to go to #rehab with the help of his family. However, his road to recovery didn't end there. While in rehab, he was introduced to other addicts who taught him how to get #drugs with similar effects once he's out on the street again.

Throughout the interview, Rafi candidly shares his struggles with addiction, as well as his journey towards #sobriety. He talks about the challenges he faced in rehab, the support he received from his loved ones, and the grace he was shown by #Jesus to bring him out of that death spiral.
