Building an Old-fashioned Log Chicken House, Part 1 - The FHC Show, ep 14

Pa Mac's little flock of hens have just about outgrown there little log chicken house he built for them back in season one of the show. In this latest episode #14 of The Farm Hand's Companion Show, Pa Mac begins a 10-part series on building a larger old-fashioned log chicken house from materials found on the homestead, using simple hand tools and self-sufficient, sustainable methods. Several different types of structures for raising chickens are shown (from the commercial to the permaculture models, and everything in between), plus a glimpse into why raising poultry of this type holds a sentimental place in Pa Mac's heart.
