Building Old-fashioned Chicken Nests and Roosts - The FHC Show, ep 25

In episode 25 of The Farm Hand's Companion Show, Pa Mac shows how to build and install old-fashioned nest boxes and a roost for his new log chicken house. Instead of buying lumber for the project, he uses discarded slabs from a sawmill. A good set of nest boxes help keep a supply of fresh eggs coming, and a well-built roost for chickens to sleep on can facilitate the collection of chicken manure for the garden or compost pile.

Be sure and subscribe to the Farm Hand's Companion channel to keep up with the progress as Pa Mac takes an undeveloped piece of property and turns it into a small subsistence farm. Watch for new episodes as often as Pa Mac can crank 'em out and still run a small farm. (As long as he's alive and kicking, he's most assuredly farming and filming!)
