This one... went long!

So this lesson will hopefully make up for the late postings of the past few days... now if I could only just get caught up on my sleep! You may sense my being a bit tired during this one but it's all good because: Chess is fun! Todays lesson has two warm up puzzles and then a two part puzzle question during a chess game which features the Four Knights Scotch Opening.

*SPOILER ALERT*

That game:

Do not play over until after you have solved the puzzles...

WHITE: Stopa (2465)
BLACK: Panchanathan (2485)
EVENT: Dallas 2006
RESULT 0-1

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. d4 exd4 5. Nxd4 Bb4 6. Nxc6 bxc6 7. Bd3 d5 8. exd5 cxd5 9. Qe2+ Be7 10. Bg5 0-0 11. 0-0-0 Be6 12. h3 h6 13. Bh4 Rb8 14. f4? Qd6 15. Rdf1? Rxb2 16. Kxb2 Qa3+ 17. Resigns. 0-1

I hope you enjoyed todays lesson - tactics and all. If you can a Like, Share and or Subscribe would help out tremendously and be much appreciated. Thank you. Until next time may you always play your best moves in the great game of life! ~ Chess Coach Sean Tobin.
