WE GOT BABY CHICKS! Ameraucana's, Buff Orpingtons, Barred Plymouth Rock & Blue Andalusian

Hello Everyone and Welcome to our little homestead on the prairies. We live in Alberta Canada and have a Zone 3 Growing Climate which has it's challenges. We are still well below freezing at night and our day time highs are right around freezing. Due to our climate we start our seeds indoors and so far our Plants are doing great. Outside the show is slowly melting but has a long way to go; hoping for warmer days ahead.

Our Baby Chicks have arrived and my oh my are they ever adorable. We ended up with 13 baby chicks and a mix of Ameraucana's, Blue Andalusia, Buff Orpington and Marred Plymouth Rock. We opted to get them all vaccinated this being our first time; well mike had chickens as a young boy. We have placed them in the brooder and are having so much fun watching them and of course slowly handling as well. We had a few with pasty butt however we took care of it fast and we seem to be in the clear for now. Thanks for following along and for now back to working on the chicken coop and the design plans for garden expansion and coop run.
