Republican Party of Arkansas Director Seth May tries to stop recording of the ARGOP 2nd District Meeting

The Republican Party of Arkansas 2nd Congressional District Meeting took place at the Rialto Theater in Morrilton Saturday 3/18/23.
The meeting was designed to delay the election of Jennifer Lancaster as 2nd District Chair over Melonia Gullick. Gullick has been hostile to conservatives getting involved in the Republican Party process.

In addition to Gullick starting the meeting 40 minutes late, and delaying the elections for speakers and reports, there was an attempt to remove keeparkansaslegal/JustTheRightAngle videographer Kenny Wallis by political pressure and with police. GOP members who didn't want recording made different excuses as to why I couldn't record the very important meeting , but couldn't cite the rule. The Morrilton Police Department was later called in as an effort to inimidate me and others recording the event. After discussion with lawyers and others, the police realized that their time had been wasted by whoever called them on me.

Eventually, Jennifer Lancaster was elected 2nd Distric Chair. Several other elections were done. There will be an Arkansas Republican Party Summer Committee Meeting where issues such as Closed Primary Elections can be decided on.
