Recorded 3/31/23. This has been a long time coming on Fantech0104! I have always wanted to railfan the MBTA transit system for many years! When I finally made the trip out to Boston to see William, it finally happened! We were originally going to do both a station on the Northeast Corridor and North Station but we ended up running out of time. Fortunately we still made it to the most important part of railfanning which was the Northeast Corridor! We were actually originally going to Ruggles Station but we were much happier with railfanning here at Forest Hills instead because we got all of the same action and had the station pretty much to ourselves. Ruggles was super busy! I really enjoyed being able to see Subway, Commuter rail and Amtrak all from one platform! You can also see this on the opposite side of the Northeast Corridor which is also very neat! The MBTA has some very neat trains too! You get to see some F40's which is more common on MBTA than New Jersey Transit. Overall so much fun and a recommended railfanning spot too! This is also a fairly safe neighborhood to railfan at.
