The Eyes of Texas Are on Texas | Heritage President Kevin Roberts

Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts joined the 2023 Texas Policy Summit to commemorate Texas Independence Day and remind Texans of the importance of self-governance.

The biggest policy question facing Texas—and America—today is whether the public school system can provide the next generation of Texans with the skills and values to succeed. Kevin acknowledges that there are forces working against this goal, but emphasizes that this is not a criticism of teachers, who are heroic and committed to their students. Rather, the focus should be on helping young people be educated and successful, rather than perpetuating the system.
