The Old Testament Kingdom Program

God promised the people of Israel a Land, a King, and a Kingdom. Their nation was to eventually become a nation of priests to bring salvation to the Gentile nations. In the Old Testament, it was no mystery that Israel would someday spread the Word of God to all nations. But, it was prophesied to be after the Messiah had come and set up His kingdom centered in Jerusalem. And we will see in the next section where Jesus told His disciples they would not be finished preaching in Israel before He would come to set up the kingdom.
