Penguins live in the South Sandwich Islands, Antarctica, South Orkney Islands, South Shetland, South Georgia Island, Bouvet Island, Balleny Islands and Peter I Island. There is a black band under the head that makes them look like they are wearing a helmet, so they are also called chinstrap penguins, and because of these characteristics, they are one of the most recognizable penguins. Their body length is 72 cm, and the average adult Antarctic penguin weighs about 4 kg. There are currently 7,500,000 breeding pairs of chinstrap penguins worldwide. The main food is krill, shrimp and fish.
