God's Own Truth - Joshua Lawrence

'God's own truth!' I guess it is supposed to give credibility to a story that might otherwise be hard to believe? I don't know; some expressions are just silly to me.

Your truth; my truth; what is truth? Well, for starters - Truth is not subjective; it is absolute. There is only one source for it in this world; and that is from God. So...as it turns out, an expression I always thought ridiculous starts to make a lot of sense :)

These days there is no recognition of Truth, there is really little tolerance for it. In the event there is, it is a piecemeal affair; there is seldom a real desire to seek it out or to pursue it in earnest, especially when it conflicts with personal interests or opinions.

It's a terrible thing that is tearing society apart - My hope is that we will indeed develop a desire to recognize "God's own truth" as something more than a credibility booster :)
