My First time Chainsaw Milling - Dead tree turned out to be Beautiful Spalted Maple.

In this video I buy a new Granberg IV portable Chainsaw mill and turn a dead tree in to some gorgeous Spalted maple lumber and share my experience.
This was my first time ever milling my own lumber and doing it off of my own property was even a better bonus, I share my thoughts on the chainsaw mill and my experience chainsaw milling. My final thoughts are it is very time consuming but is rewarding to be able to make your own lumber from the complete ground up. In the future I still plan to buy a bandsaw mill but in the meantime this will be a great tool to have for milling smaller slabs. The chainsaw I used for the milling in the video is The Stihl MS-461 with a 28" bar. I have milled twice with the mill and easily could sell the lumber for more than the price of the mill but the chainsaw is the expensive part. Is worth mentioning that I used a normal crosscut chain during this video and have yet to use a ripping chain that is specific for milling.
