This is the incredible moment a 22-year-old man gets rescued after he fell 26 feet down to a granite slab while on a hike with friends.

Footage obtained by Newsflash from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency shows the delicate rescue operation at Trewavas Head in South Cornwall on 31st March.

The incident required evacuation by helicopter, serving as a reminder that "HM Coastguard helps anyone in trouble at our coasts," according to Senior Coastal Operations Officer Rob Farr.

The reminder was issued ahead of the Easter holidays to ensure the public is aware of the coastguard's readiness to help in case of emergencies.
