Sub-zero Farming and Sheep Flock Observations

We farm in cold, snowy sub-zero sheep farming with no barn, yet this flock shows no hardship. They only seek shelter in the woods when it is cold *and* wet.

Peter outlines the lengths he will go to to trade hard work for spending high dollar amounts with the watering of the animals. We do not have a water line out to where we want them this winter, so carting water to them is needed *twice* per day.

In winter feedings, the flock is more tolerant of Peter’s proximity.
George continues to pick up the scent to perform his duties as the lead ram.

This is the coldest Christmas in decades, but the flock is fat, in a good way, waddling their way to the hay.
