Feeding the Flerd in the Winter Cow and Calf Update

On this cold winter day, we find hockey pucks in the field and make a plan to improve their diet. Three weeks from breeding, the flock is fat and in good condition - the majority of the flock is pawing through the snow to get to forage rather than focus on the unrolled hay.
Unfortunately, our cow miscarried and we will need to buy a steer to raise for our beef. On the other hand, our calf is healthy and growing horns.
