The Development of Sight In the Hyperborean Epoch

"Let there be light!"

In the Hyperborean Epoch, humanity first experiences external light! In the earlier Polarian Epoch, this power was still inside the planet and the developing human being. The world was like a seed, bearing all that is necessary for life, but not yet born.

By the Hyperborean Epoch humanity begins to sprout and individuate from the living mass of ether, or the great cosmic womb, that held them. They begin to feel, or gain the experience of touch, and are slowly becoming aware of their surroundings.

The sun, now risen, distinct and separated from the earth, now beams down upon it providing the evolutionary impulse through spiritual light, or astral light. One day in the future, this light will solidify into a more physical light, but not yet.

In response to this stimulation from the sun, humanity develops its first eye, what we now call the third eye. The only remnant of this eye today is the pineal gland, or the third eye, which is now embedded deep in the brain, yet still perceiving astral light. The third eye is now a psychic organ and the light it perceives is the finer, astral light of the spiritual planes.
