Cops Find Lost OAP With Alzheimer's During Search Of Robbery Suspect

Cops have found a wandering OAP with Alzheimer's during search of a robbery suspect in the USA.

Crews from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Florida State, USA, reportedly responded to the 100 block of E. Bearss Avenue, on Wednesday, 29th March 2023.

And soon after they spotted an unknown person in a nearby wooded area who they approached thinking he was their target.

But they were left in awe when they found out that he wasn't the guy they were looking for, but a 75-year-old missing man with Alzheimer's instead.

Police claimed that he reportedly went missing the day before, on Tuesday, 28th March, before bringing him home to his family safe and sound shortly after.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement: "What a wonderful example of being in the right place at the right time.

"Our deputies were working diligently doing their job to apprehend a suspect, and were able to recognize a citizen in need of help.

"We're grateful that this was able to end in a safe return for the missing person and his family."
