An anonymous police officer responds to a call reporting screams and banging at Mr. Eiser's house. Upon arrival, he finds the elderly man slumped in a chair, surrounded by tools and spades. The nurse on site explains that Mr. Eiser suffers from a degenerative brain disorder, but the officer later discovers that he has never had carers. As he investigates further, he observes odd, aimless movements and shadows that don't match the physical forms of Mr. Eiser and the nurses. When the lights go out, one of the nurses appears to spot him, causing the officer to flee. When he returns with another officer, they find the lights back on but no response when knocking on the door. The officer feels uneasy and unsure about what he witnessed.
