Making the Carnivore Chef (Part 2)

Welcome back to part two of my knife making video series! In this episode, you'll see me continuing my work on the 8 inch chef's knife that I've called the Carnivore Chef.

While the blade is tempering in the oven, I'll be focusing on the handle scales. Using a segmented micarta material, I'll be cutting and epoxying the pieces together to create a unique and stylish handle for the knife.

Once the handle is complete, I'll move on to finish grinding the blade. This involves using a series of belts on my 2x72 belt grinder to refine the shape of the blade and achieve the perfect edge.

Finally, I'll finish by buffing the blade, preparing it for the installation of the handle scales and sharpening.

I'm excited to share my skills and insights with you in this episode, and to show you the care and craftsmanship that goes into making a high-quality chef's knife. Whether you're an experienced knife maker or just starting out, I'm confident that you'll find something to enjoy and learn from in this series.
