Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has responded to Donald Trump's indictment on hush money charges calling it “un-American”.

“The weaponisation of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head,” Mr DeSantis said in his tweet.

“It is un-American”.
